While the Brethren even say they Believe the Bible is the Word of God, they too clearly do have this unholy, desperate and complicated need to reinterpret almost every passages of the Bible suitable to their own liking.

noncomformer: I truly believe that it’s not so much that they interpret scripture to their own liking, but something is taught and believed, without looking at the Bible as a whole book. A verse here and there is used as text proof, or an entire chapter read, like reading the end of the book without reading the beginning, middle, and the end together. With the current technical age, other views are now being known and considered Biblically.

I believe the Bible points to Christ, His work on the Cross, and what that accomplished. The first verse of Revelation tells us what the book is about:

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must take place. It’s all about the revealing of Jesus Christ. My Redeemer lives.

its clear some of you have not read the Bible thru. The Bible/Word is full of prophecy for those that belive on Him – I do…Christians do not read a verse here and there…we read it all..You better belive the end time is near..Prophecy in Bible is clear and true and points to the end that is near. You’all can not belive and be “left behind” – Myself I will be gone in the rapture to be with my Lord.

NT: I do believe the rapture will occur. When? When the last person that God brings to Christ has come. Now, I would have you look back in history, even just fifty years. What you are saying people have been saying for a long time to no avail. I also believe the earth is fairly young. The Bible is true, it’s your interpretation I am having problems with.
